We took Paddy to the farmacia today and got him weighed - he's now 4.8kgs, although that was with a baby gro and nappy on. Even so, he's doing well!! The farmacist advised to continue with the medication for his conjunctivitis but also to bathe and clean the eye with a tincture made from steeped manzanilla (camomile). We tried this tonight and he seemed to love it, as opposed to roaring when we cleaned his eye with cooled boiled water. We left him sat on Mark's lap with a soaked cotton wool pad on his bad eye - he loved it! Fingers crossed it starts to help ASAP. I can't bear to see him with a red and weeping eye, sniff!
He slept last night from 11pm to 3am, woke for a feed then slept through to 9am, had another feed then slept til approx 11.30am! I got up to get Lily ready for school and Mark took her. WHen he got back, the three of us decided to go back to bed for half an hour...we woke up two hours later so we must have needed it lol!! Will try and get an earlish night tonght - have felt really pooped all afternoon.
