Where to start?

Ten Days Old Today!!



I really should have started this diary sooner because I already feel like there is so much to report and I'll forget to put everything down! Not sure where to start really, other than the obvious....

arrived 9th April

at 20.17

Weighing 4.4kgs/9lbs 7ozs

in Denia, Spain



He was 9 days late and I'd really had enough, so my lovely MW broke my waters for me! She told Mark and I to go out and have a nice relaxing lunch somewhere and she'd take a look at me when we got back, to see if I'd need a drip to get things moving! Well, we didn't get our lunch because, within 5 minutes, my contractions were coming thick and fast. Paddy finally arrived about 7 hours later - and we immediately fell totally in love with him!! Neither of us can stop looking at him!



Mark has turned into a Mother Hen - he gave me a strict talking to while I was still pregnant about how we weren't going to have the baby in bed with us, we would sometimes let him cry in his crib, etc, etc - needless to say, that went right out of the window the minute Mark held him in his arms! Paddy has him completely twisted round his fat little fnger lol!!



Today Mark had to leave to go back to the UK for 5 days. We were all a bit emotional, I really didn't want him to go but, of course, I wouldn't say that because it would have made him feel worse. Lily was a bit teary too. Paddy consoled himself with emptying a whole boob!!
